This easy Apple Snickers Salad recipe is easy to make and can be prepared in just 15 minutes. It’s perfect for any cookout or potluck!

Snickers Apple Salad is a delicious dessert recipe that pairs crunchy apples with creamy Cool Whip. The recipe is easy to make, and can be prepared in just 15 minutes!

If you’re looking for a quick and easy dessert that tastes great, this Snickers salad recipe is perfect. The combination of the fluffy Cool Whip with sweet Snickers candy bar crumbles makes it hard to resist. Definitely worth trying out!

How to make Snickers Salad:

  • Apples – Granny smith is the best for this recipe, they are not too sweet and have a great crunch
  • Cool Whip – Don’t turn your nose up on cool whip! You can’t even tell it’s not whipped cream in this recipe along with the apples, snickers and caramel.
  • Snickers Bars – I like to buy the mini ones for this recipe.
  • Optional toppings – Caramel sauce and chopped peanuts

What is the origin of Snickers salad?

  • Snickers salad is a dessert that has been around for some time. It first appeared in the 1989 Betty Crocker recipe book, titled “Betty’s Cookbook: More than 300 Recipes You Can Trust.”
  • Snickers salad is also commonly found at potluck dinners and other events where people bring their dish to share with others.

Variations:

  • The recipe is usually a mixture of cool whip, snickers bars, and apple slices layered in the serving dish.
  • Other variations include sprinkling toffee bits on top, using grapes instead of apples, adding cream cheese or vanilla pudding to the mixture, or adding whipped cream instead of cool whip – no matter how you make it, you’re sure to enjoy this sweet treat!

How to store:

  • This salad is best served right away or within a couple of hours of making (keep in the refrigerator until ready to serve).
  • The apples will cause the mixture to get a bit watery if it sits too long, so do not make the night before.

Snickers salad is one of my favorite desserts to make. The recipe is so simple and easy, I can do it without even thinking about it. Plus the ingredients are cheap! You just need a few things: Snickers bars, Granny Smith apples, Cool Whip, caramel and peanuts for the topping.

Just make sure if you take it to the next family dinner or potluck you print out the recipe to share! It’ll be a guaranteed favorite. I have many other dessert recipes like this strawberry angel food dessert or even my sour cream lemon pie that are sure to get your mouth watering too. They’re perfect for summer!
