This Boursin Cheese recipe is so easy yet so elegant to make when entertaining
guests! Whipped cream cheese, garlic, and herbs come together to make the
perfect savory spread for crackers or baguette slices. This recipe will save you
for last-minute entertaining as it literally whips up in minutes!
In a large bowl whip the cream cheese until light in texture with an electric mixer on medium speed.
Add in butter and blend until smooth.
Next, add the parmesan cheese and spices and mix until evenly combined, using a silicone spatula to scrape down the bowl as needed.
Transfer the Boursin to a small bowl lined with saran wrap. Refrigerate for about 10-15 minutes to mold the shape of the cheese if desired. Unwrap cheese and invert it onto a serving plate. If desired use the tines of a fork to create a line pattern around the cheese for a pretty presentation!
Serve with your favorite crackers, fruit, and baguette slices if desired.
If you need to refrigerate longer than 15 minutes. Just let the spread come to room temperature before serving, for about a half hour.
Notes
This spread can be made and refrigerated for up to 2 weeks in an air-tight container in the refrigerator. When ready to serve remove from the refrigerator and bring the cheese to room temperature. If you add fresh garlic, or fresh herbs this will only keep for 5 days.
If you want to use other herbs you can add a tablespoon of one of these fresh herbs: dill weed, chives, thyme or basil.
Other mix-ins you can add are finely shredded sharp cheese, Alderwood smoked salmon, or caramelized onions.
