This is a decorative way to serve cheese bread this holiday season. My family can’t get enough cheese bread and most of the time it gets cleaned up before the main entree. With cheese melted and hot inside it's better than stuff crust, its pull-apart, tear-and-share. Easy and wonderfully delicious.
In a large circular baking dish place a ramekin or small oven-safe bowl in the very center. Arrange the frozen rolls around the centered bowl in two layers.
Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rise at room temperature for an hour or two.
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Once the dough has risen and is malleable, place a piece of cubed cheese in the center of each dough ball and pinch shut.
Mix the parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning together; set aside.
Thoroughly brush top, sides, and bottom of each roll with the melted butter. (They should have doubled in size before baking.)
Sprinkle the top of each roll with seasoned cheese mixture.
Bake in a pre-heated oven for 20-23 minutes.
Remove and decorate with herbs and tomatoes or pomegranate seeds or Christmas greenery.
Serve with dinner or as an appetizer with marinara sauce.
Notes
These are great served with Marinara sauce as an appetizer, or as a show piece for your holiday dinner.
